Neevu noodi. Idu vasantavara mathugalu… .

“First of all its important to ensure that in the International Airport all of KaRaVe’s legitimate demands which are nothing but reiterations of the original promises made by the BIAL Project Management are implemented in toto. This includes naming the International airport after Naadaprabhu KempeGowda and providing employment in the airport premises to all displaced people in the area where the Airport is coming up.
Kannadiga’s have already been taken for a ride by many IT companies who have tried to downplay the miniscule % of Kannadigas working for them by highlighting the indirect employment provided for catering, transportation and so on, but a visit to any of these IT firms will show that even here increasingly Kannadigas are slowly getting a raw deal.
If BIAL again succeeds in its gameplan in the name of globalisation, International airport and so on….it will only be an indication for other entrepreneurs behind the likes of SEZ’s etc to exploit this.
International airports the world over are seen as small windows to native culture ( even though they offer diversity to suit the tastes of the International travellers, the flavour of the local culture is what stands out).Even in a small country like Switzerland where there are 3 international airports- Zurich, Geneva and Basel , each one reflects the local culture. While Zurich airport is as German as it can be, Geneva reflects in toto French culture. Basel reflects a combination of both but predominantly German in line with the demographics of the place.

A visit to the Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport ( with a capacity for handling nearly 40 mn passengers)which is in the process of getting modernised will show that the workforce is predominantly Marathi. While the same itself provides a local flavour, one is astounded by the logo of CSIA which has been creatively designed to look like the name Shivaji.”
